2002 4.7l v8
Looking for some ideas because I am all out of new ones:
Engine RPM jumps up 200-300 when, for example, driving at 1800 RPM, it will jump to 2100. Somewhat random and inconsistent. Same with at idle - say it will idle at 600 and jump up to 900 and back to 600. Also, appears to be slightly worse while cruise is on.
I have removed air intake, recharged K&N air, checked for vacuum leaks, ran seaform through system and other various fuel cleaners - no change. There is no EGR, no codes generated. I think I am looking towards fuel pressure next.
Any thoughts or ideas appreciated.

A/C kicking on and off will do 300 rpm fan clutch engaging will do at least that.. Crappy fuel clogged fuel filter. bad plug gap. Geez the list goes on and on and on of what could be causing it.. I do not think I would notice the 300 rpm up and down mine does it too when the converter locks and unlocks on my 09 dakota, I do not notice my 02 ram doing it at all though..
I had the same problem with my 4.7 in my truck as well, no check engine light, it ended up being the TPS on the throttle body. I found this out by taking it to the dealer, and they ran this "mobil star" computer on the OBD, drove the truck until it did it fluctuations, and hit a button to record, and then took it to the shop computer and showed that the TPS was out of specs... I think it was about $80 for a TPS at the dealership... very easy to install, there are only two torx bit screws that hold it in. Basically what I was told is that the TPS is like a stereo volumn... and when they go bad they have static, and that basically what's going on with it while driving and kick up the rpms a bit
