Default 180 degree therm. question for 4.7 owners

hello all

I'm looking at getting a 180 deg. thermostat for my 2006 ram 4.7 and I have a question about the bleeder hole that is on the stock thermostat.

the jet 180 doesn't look as though it has one so my question is is this going to cause any problems

Thanks for looking

Do you already have the jet, there is a cheaper alternative you should be able to get locally. If you've already got it just drill a bleed hole in it matching up to the stock one.

It's the stant 45358, you can get it at napa or advance. You should drill a bleed hole and make a notch w/ a file in the new t-stat to match the oem one. The stant is spec'd for 2002 5.9 gas engine but it works for the 3.7 and 4.7 from 02-07.

I've got the same one in my 3.7, I made sure it opened by dropping it in some boiling water before I put it in. I found it would work searching on here and dodge talk looking for a cheap 180 I could get locally. Glad I could help out.
