Brake upgrade?
I will only put about 2k miles on my truck a year, but of those, most will be hauling my 4300 lb boat/trailer.
My trek to the lake is pretty short, but it does have a number of stops...a few of them, off a downward grade.
I really havent had a problem...I "baby" when towing, but I can feel the brakes working much harder.
And Im not looking to dump $1000 per wheel for some top of the line Brembos...Im looking for an inexpensive solution, like not changing the rotor size at all.
Any thoughts?
Thanks much,
-Chris

I don't haul often, sold my bass boat and "retired" from tournament fishing. But when I do tow it's usually either a 7700 lb. tractor on a 21' dual axle trailer or two ATVs and a UTV on the same trailer.
Been waiting for my stock brakes to wear out (48k on them and still about 1/4" life left). When they do, I am going to a set of PowerSlot rotors and Hawk pads. Not expensive compared to a lot of alternatives. Hell probably no more than the stealership charges for stock.
