Default Different Muffler Idea (import car muffler)

I have been wanting to change my exhaust system for awhile. I don't liking the Flowmaster sound anymore. I want to true dual it and I already bought an X-pipe. Now i'm just trying to decide what mufflers to use. I've been thinking about Magnaflows or "old school" Glasspacks, but the other day I was at Pep Boys and I started looking at the mufflers they sell and I noticed that the "ricer" mufflers they sell would make a pretty good truck muffler. Now hear me out. They are pollished stainless, straight-through style, and with a perforated tube like a Magnaflow or other high end Glasspack. I've been looking on the net and there are all kinds available. I have found them with up to a 3" inlet. I want to use two 2.5" ones. Also they are relatively cheap for a polished stainless muffler. What do you guys think?

mmmmmm, a flowmaster on an import don't sound bad, thats what I ran on my little mighty max lowrider (when I was 17). But I HIGHLY doubt it'll work vice versa

I think this is just a fools day joke but if not DONT DO IT!!! I herd a full size truck years ago with 2 of them fart cans on there. sounded horrable at idle. Almost sounded as if a ricer was holding his rpms up to 2500 at idle. then when the light went green I just sat there in shock of how bad it sounded and he hadnt ripped the POS off befor crossing the intersection.

Yeah don't do it...fart cans are made for 4 cylinder vehicles like a Honda civic you see slot driving around with those on. That on a truck will sound retarded and pol aeound would be like WTF was he thinking

NEGITIVE. leave the rice for the hondas. Try Magnaflow. Much better sound then blowmasters.

I don't know why this style muffler would make a v8 sound like crap? I also don't know how it couldn't handle the flow either -- there are 4 cylinders that push more air through the exhaust than the Hemi does. I know mine does but I use 2 mufflers.

That said, I don't think one of these hanging out the rear of a fullsize truck would look good. There's a reason truck mufflers are hidden and only the pipes are visible.
