Hey guys/gals, just looking for some answers with the SRT 10 (OEM Mopar Power Bulge) hood. To anyone who has one what I would like to know is, is there a way to make this thing fully functional? I understand it is semi functional as it is with the fresh air entering the engine compartment, but I would like to make it a RAM AIR system and at the same time prevent so much water from getting into the engine compartment.
I was also wondering if anyone has changed the plastic insert grill to something a little nicer looking? If so what did you use? As always your input is very appreciated. Here is a picture of my hood at the link below.

Water in the engine....sounds dangerous, you should take it off, put your stocker back on and give it to me

I have seen ppl put the gutter guard in there. It looks pretty good. There is also a billet insert you can get i believe.

Weedahoe, I got mine already and it is painted and installed man. I am looking to make it fully functional Ram Air if possible and improve the front grill insert as the stock SRT plastic insert is pretty lame looking. Your truck looks bad a$$ man. Also any ideas to keep the rain down to a minimum would be nice as I currently have a CAI in there and am afraid it will suck to much water.

They make different SRT hood grill inserts. Ive got one I bought some time back but still need to put on.

If you are worried about a little water then either block it off or change CAI's. I have never heard of anyone saying they got water or snow in their SRT hood grill though. Some say it pushed hot air out but I find that really hard to believe

oh and the ram air is useless. it is designed to push hot air out not bring cold air in...

Hey weeds, could you take a look at the photo's I attached here and tell me if this is how your hood looks underneath? I am wondering if the dealership that did the work forgot to install something? I don't see how a ton of rain wouldn't enter this engine compartment. I am only worried about water getting into the intake. Yes I have been considering a different CAI also or going back to my factory set up, I just don't want to suck any water into the motor if you know what I mean. I also included a shot of my CAI set up. Again any advice is appreciated, thanks man.

volant makes a kit that turns that hood into a ram air system. its pricey though.
