Angry Drop Shackle Problem

Ok so last night I spent like 3 hours getting these stupid shackles on, put the tires back on, and dropped her back to the ground and it turns out I only got like an inch of drop... WTF? I bought the McGaughys drop shackles from Moes and I measured the gap before the drop (6" on both sides) now after the drivers side gap is about 5" and the gap on the passengers side is about 5.25". Is this normal? Do I need to just give it time to settle or what? Broke a lug stud last night so the truck is in the shop right now. When I get it back I will put up before and after pics.

2 inches i think normally. But to fully achieve it I have heard you have to remove the o/l spring as well.

I have McGaughys 2" drop shackles on mine. I don't remember what drop I had initially, but it took a couple days to settle, and when I re-torqued the bolts after a week I measured 1 3/4" drop over stock.

for 1 u'll never get a full 2" out of any drop shackle except slammed1...but hes done good luck findin a set....for 2...wait about a week and itll settle go drive over some speed humps...and i hope you didnt tighten em like crazy they may squeek less is more as long as they are tight....now if you remove your o/l leaf youll see another 5/8" immediatley and another 1/2 or so later on....my truck has djm 2" drop shackles no o/l leaf and it sets perfectly level.....hey rumble check my profile for threads i started and i posted new pics about 2 weeks ago and i have shots of mine in there....

I heard that if you loosen the bolts a little while the truck is on the ground it will drop some more and you will not have to wait as long. Anyone verify this?
