Im trying to find a cheap intake to put on my truck but everything i find is $300+. what is the difference between a 2001 and a 2003 that the intake wont work on mine? or would it just not good?

 

there is a difference between the 01 and the 02-03 K&n cai. i tried the 01 on my 02... with some modification i could have made it work. alot of guys seem to be running the round air cleaners. i have a 10x2 one i might part ways with if your interested. i think 14x 3 will also fit too but is a tight squeeze.

 

They just draw in hot air though. No performance benefit from the open element old school breathers. Just put a K&N drop-in filter in the stock set-up. Works fine for my 08.
