Diablo trinity compatability
I found a guy to sell me his diablo trinity for 450 with a dash adapter bit he had an 09 chevy and I have a 06 dodge with a hemi will I be able to plug it right in? Is this a good buy and a good product?
you can always go to thier site for this info but yes it will work. Make sure it has been returned to stock (req pics). 450 is decent priced and it is an excellent tuner. I have one.

He can go to Options -> Last Tune Written and take a picture of that. It should say something like "stock tune" or "returned to stock".
If he doesnt and if you buy it, it will cost either 100 or 125 to unlock it.

you dont have to change the cable. Ford, Dodge, and Chevy have the same shape obdII port. And no you have to have the truck to return it back to stock. Like weed said it will cost to reflash the programmer if there is a stock tune inside the tuner.

Yep, the OBD cord should come with it. They make a 90* OBD cable Diablo will sell you for an additional $25 but I just took mine out the hole in the bottom of the dash and pushed it up in the dash.
There is a standard USB cable that also goes with the Trinity but if he doesnt have it dont worry about it. You can get them off ebay for nothing.

If he does not have the truck (traded or sold it) and has NOT ALREADY returned the tuner to stock then there is not a way for him to do so and it will cost you another $100 to get it unlocked.
When you first use this tuner (Diablo) or any Superchips, it takes a copy of the original factory tune and stores it inside the tuner. Then you are allowed to make changes to the stock tune and reload it back onto the trucks PCM. At that point because custom adjustments have been made to the stock tune, the tuner is VIN locked to that truck and only that truck. In order to unlock the tuner the owner MUST plug the tuner in and reload the original factory tune back to the truck and then the tuner will be free to be loaded on another truck.
