Default Does the 2006 1500 have a TCM

The 45RFE behind the 4.7L on my 2001 Dakota 4x4 (NP233) is crapping out. I found a transmission from a 2006 2x4 1500.

Before I get it I need to know if the 2006 1500 is controlled by a TCM like the Dakota, or if it is controlled by the engine control module (NGC1??).

If it is controlled by a TCM will it be compatible with the 2001 4.7L??

I'm not gonna say it is, there is a fair chance that it is not. I honestly don't know. They changed alot between o5 and o6 so you r chances imo are slim.

from 04+ DR the PCM and TCM are integrated into one module. Not to mention we use a 545rfe and not the 45rfe although there are minor differences. But the TCM is inside the PCM and it is a NGC
