Default Replacing the Rack & Pinion - Have a Couple of Questions

So after reading a bunch of forums, I am pretty sure I need to replace the r&p. It's leaking and I've got a pretty good clunk and the truck handles like **** on bumpy roads. I've tried everything else on the truck and have it narrowed down to this. Anytime I hit a small bump or even a crack in the road, the front seems to hop all over the place making it hard to control at both slow and high speeds. I have a hunt in Idaho in 1 month and I would like to have the problem fixed before heading out.

I have a few questions;

Which aftermarket brand should I get?

How hard is it to replace and how much time does it take? I am confident I can handle this myself and I would like to keep my money instead of giving it to the stealership.

Do I need to have a front end alignment after doing this?

You can do it yourself and yes you wil need an alignment. It will take a few hours to do. HERE new w/warranty AND no core.

i got a reman r&p from advance auto- it has a lifetime warranty. install was pretty easy, just messy. make sure you get new tie rod ends too- you will probably rip the boots removing them- if not, you should replace them anyway. count the threads sticking out on the tie rod ends so you can get it close enough to drive it to the alignment shop. make sure you use ATF+4 for the fluid...
