Default Electric Window Question

I got off the phone with my wife yesterday. And she said that the windows in my truck aren't working. She said that you can roll all the windows down from th driver side, but the switches on each door won't roll down that window, like its on lock or something. Anybody have any idea what could cause this? Thank you in advance.

my guess is the contacts for lock came out in the terminal or are loose or the switch part is broken.

Check for broken wires in the wiring that goes through the rubber boot on the door. As stated before pull the switches out, disconnect the connector, blow it out with an air duster, get some diaelectric grease and put it on the the pins. Also check for blown fuses. All of the above are common if you do a search this is a common issue.

Default samw problem

My truck is doing the same thing. The only way to roll down the winds is from the driver side. I pulled out al lthe switches and connectors. I still haven't been able to find the problem... I think I am going to have ot take it in. I tore the door apart and it is lined with plastic and caulk.

I have the same issue in my 03, just havent really had the time or people riding in my truck to mess with it. Im in AZ in the summer so the windows are rarely down this time of year anyways. I know that when i pushed the lock button really hard or even punch they will work again momentarily then stop again...i pulled the switch out and everything is still connected with no broken wires....anyone got some ideas?

I had that problem with my '02 and it ended up being the wiring that goes thru the boot of the rear driver's side door. I replaced the broken and brittle wires and not a problem since. Definitely check the boot wiring in ALL your doors before you spend money taking it in......

Default fixed

Well, I today it decided a good old anger fix. I hit the door really hard on the driver side by the window lock switch. And now all the windows work. If I use to lock switch i have to hit it to get all the windows to work.
So I think it is my lock switch not working properly.
