Default A/C problem on 2007 1500 HEMI

The A/C blower does not come on all the time when I start the vehicle. If I tap on the HVAC cover it will start working but it doesn't blow as hard as it should, even on recirculate setting. I noticed today there is a small amount of condensation on the HVAC cover and on the floor mat. It is not antifreeze. It is clear and odorless, like water. I was just wondering if anyone else had experienced this before I just go out and purchase a blower motor.

I havent had this problem with my ram yet but usually if you have to tap on the cover to get it to start blowing then its usually a short in the motor or a corroded connector.

Your condensation drain line might have clogged making water build up in the housing, that's probably where the water on the floor is from. It may be shorting out the wiring or the motor itself. I would try to clear the line and see of the problem goes away, but most likely you will have to get a new fan motor. It doesn't take much to make them go bad.

What's this HVAC cover you are referring to? Could be a blend door problem.
