Default Braking with 35 or 37" tires

Ok so i have a 6" TrailMaster Lift kit ready to be installed and i was going to put either 35 or 37" Tires but haven't decided yet (its a pavement queen)

Any-who i know my boss has a 2nd Gen with over sized tires ( no lift) and i know that one time when i was driving it i had to slam on the brakes to not hit some jerk off and noticed that even with the brake peddle on the floor the tires did not lock up and actually maintained traction and kept rolling.

It did slow me down and stop but it seems though that the larger diameter of the tire rendered the brakes less effective. so i was wondering if any one is running 35 or 37" tires has had that issue

also for my second question since im going to get a lift and tires, any recommendations on a floor jack? i need a floor jack cus the old hag drives a car

I have 35" tires with 6" lift and no issues with braking. yes it takes a little more time as my rockstars are some heave sobs, but nothing crazy like you speak of above.

I have a 04 with a 6" RC lift but combined with other components for a total of 12" and ride on 36s and have no issues stopping. However you can always get a hydroboost from a CTD and fit it on your truck for more stopping power

I had no problems braking with 37's and definitely no issues now with 36's.

Larger tires wear out brakes sooner than smaller diameter tires. Big wheels and tires are harder on brakes and it does take a little bit longer to come to a full stop, but we are only talking micro seconds here.
If there was a night/day difference in braking there are other issues other than just an inch or two difference in diameter of tires...

Ive got a 3 ton floor jack from Harbor Freight many years ago (7-8) and it is just not starting to give out on me. I will buy another one from them the next time I am in Tallahassee where they are at.
