Default question regarding changing gauge cluster

I have a 2003 1500 hemi. My gauge cluster have had some problem with the mph needle. It wouldn't move and the gas needle has problem as well. Since my warrenty was over and I bought a used gauge cluster off another hemi. my question is that when I switch the cluster, will the miles automatic reset to my original or it will be whatever the gauge's miles I bought.

I believe it will be whatever the guage cluster you bought is set at. The mileage is simply an electronic counter and is not linked to your computer as far as I know.

the reason I have this question is because my friend who had a chevy, and had the same problem. He had to pull out one of the fuse so that it will reset it. because I want it to be the mileage on my truck, not the mileage on the cluster.

I believe rebelram is correct. I do also remeber that atleast here in cali, if you replace components that modify the mileage, you must then disclaim it when you sell it.
