I think I'll go with a set. 1) they are price friendly. 2) they have a good look and a perfect mix of highway/offroad. 3) Hear mostly good reviews, and I would take care of them; I can't afford to buy tires!! So would the 305/55R20 fit on the stock rim?
yes or get 285 55 20 or 275 60 20, not sure what sizes they make, they are cheaper, and the size difference is barely noticable,
Like I said before, it could have been that the excursion was so heavy, they just werent the right tire for him. He switched to the cooper S/T's, and loved them. They took him places in the snow that my jeep was going, which was pretty impressive.

Cooper STT is a pretty good tire too, a clone of the very successful Toyo Open Country M/T and Nitto Trail Grappler.
One thing might have been a problem is he may have had a P-rated tire (passenger car), why in the hell they make them in larger sizes I'll never know, and they aren't the only ones to do it. But a P-rated tire cannot handle the weight of a vehicle over about 4000 lbs, IMO.
When I bought mine for the Jeep I was on the fence since the they were available in both a P265/70/17 and the same size in a D rated tire. I went with the D, sacrificing a little ride comfort for the better ply rating...
My uncle has a set of Cooper S/T on his F-250. I like those as well as the STT. I just can't seem to find them with prices online. I want a price range before I actually look into which tires to choose from, as everybody does.

I have had mine for about 2 months....they were so much better than the Goodyears that came stock....(well, duh) Anyway, I went with 295/70-17s and have been very impressed thus far.
After doing tons & tons & tons of research myself. & since we have the same wheel set up. Tire sizing, it looks like you got that info already... The terra's seem to be a pretty good tire IMO from my research. Ultimatly the price tag and solid reviews of the zeons sealed the deal for me. Good tire. Quite on the road. Grip when needed. $716 otd. I was sold on them. & no complaints as of yet.
