I just bought an 06 mega cab 1500 4x4. And I started noticing that when traveling at low speeds and going over bumps and turning I hear loudish metal moaning sounds. Like the body shifting or the bed/tailgate squeaking or shocks squeaking or steering components Idk I plan on jacking it up and shaking things around and depressing shocks. But anyone run into similar noises

I also heard there is a recall on some part of the steering Anyway. Any help would be great.

 

if your steering dampner is bolted to your tie rod tube with a bolt going through the tie rod tube your steering linkage recall is no needed repair

if your steering dampner has 2 little U-BOLTS holding your steering dampner to your tie rod tube you will need to bring it in for the recall.
