Worn u-joints can also cause vibration that feels like its coming from the wheels.

It wasn't clear to me whether it started when the brakes were done or when the tires were replaced. Anyway, agree with brett WRT the brakes. Also, make sure that they put them back together properly.

I could tell a story or two about a certain "do-it-yourself" mechanic that may have reassembled something wrong once or twice. I won't mention any names, though....

Thanks for the input guys. The vibration is a whole separate issue from the rubbing. I'm sure just one of the wheels needs to be re-balanced and I'll check the tie rods, wheel bearings, etc. As far as the rubbing goes it might be a rotor that needs to be shaved. I've heard stories or rotors being warped right out of the box.

Another satisfied customer. Incidently, to check a u-joint vibration. roll down the road at a good clip, and shift to neutral.if there is a vibration then, it is a u-joint problem.
