Going on a trip in the fall, what should I do to prepare?
In November I'm going to be driving to an annual hunting trip, instead of taking a plane, and we will be going to South Dakota. I know its some months away but what should I do to the truck to prepare and make it a good trip.
Its probably gonna be a 2,5000
Would getting superchips do me some good?
Im pretty much stock right now still except for the K&N intake and I don't think I will be getting a new exhaust or lift before then.
For sure an oil change before I leave and I changed my plugs not to long ago so those should be fine. What other maintenance things would be good?
I'm just trying to get some info on preparing for the trip and I'm sure I'll be posting about this again when time gets closer.

Did you mean 2,500 miles, not 25,000?
If you are going to change any fluids, do so about 2 weeks before leaving. I just went on a trip from PA to FL. Here is what I did:
Check all fluids (oil, tranny, coolant, power steering, windshield washer)
Cleaned air filter
Check air pressure in all tires (including spare)
Checked all lights (turn signals, head, tail, reverse)
Washed and Fukken waxed (bugs will come off easier with fresh wax I hope)
GPS in and programmed and road atlas in map pocket even though I know the way by heart.
Jumper cables, air compressor, tire iron, jack, emergency triangle and flares packet
tool box packet (wrenches, sockets, pliers, ect)
Ipod updated and has a **** load of songs
Cell phone with charger
Cash and Credit card ready to go
