Default Nitto Trail Grappler Pressure

So I just got the Nitto Trail Grapps (295-70-18) and I checked the tire pressure today and they were all around 50psi cold. Is this about normal for these tires? What is everybody else running for pressure in these things? I ran about 40 in my stockers, but 50 seems like it might be a bit high for a tire that has a 3-ply side wall and is E rated, but I may be wrong?

Also how often should I rotate/balance still every 6000mi?

That's an 80 psi max tire isn't it? I'd not run it much below 50 psi for daily, on-pavement use or you'll get premature wear. As a rule of thumb, I run a tire between 70-80% of the max cold tire pressure rating on the side of the tire for best handling and wear on pavement. I may air down when I go off-road, but I'll bring 'em back up as soon as I'm done...

That's good info there Hammer..........I'm going to look at my Cooper LTZ's sidewalls.
I'm currently running 40 psi in my stock 275 x 60 x R20 chrome clads.
I do put in 45psi for quick highway and when carrying 4 adults.

It is in fact an 80psi max tire. I will probably keep it around 55 or 60 then. Thanks Hammer

I have the exact same tires and they calibrated the sensors to 50 psi based on the fact its a 1/2 ton truck.

most of the sensors arent calibrated to a psi unless they can show your psi in real time, usualy they are set for common psi and when one or more sensors detect a difference they will throw the tire light on. so if you had 10psi in all of your tires at the same time you wont throw a light after you reset it.
