Default MDS? Please help!

Hey fellas here is my problem our question for everyone. How do you tell if the MDS is turning on and off? I am new to this system and dont know it all that well. I dont get a any higher than 14 mpg on the highway. At about 70 mph I am sitting on 2000 rpm. If anyone can help i would appreciate it. Its not that i care about my gas mileage i am just curious so that i know.

i used an led light to let me no when mds was on or off when i had my truck. But i turned the system off with a programmer. This is the site i used. http://www. dodge talk. com/forums/s...d.php?t=180371 Also, you could go to google and type in how to install a mds light on a dodge ram and there are sites that show you how to install one an led light to let you know when your mds is on and off

The MDS switch is imperceptible, regardless of what folks would have you believe. MDS doesn't affect RPM. 14 mpg on the highway for a 4x4 isn't too bad. 2K at 70 mph would lead me to believe you have the 3.92 rear end. I get 80 mph at 2K with 285/70s and a 3.55 rear gear.
