Parking the truck
I'm going to be parking the truck here in a few weeks when I go off to school. In the meantime I will be driving my dad's little Ford Ranger to save on fuel money. Now what I'm wanting to know is what all I need to do to prepare the truck for storage. It will sit for about nine months and then will be driven again in the summer. I do plan to come home every now and again and run the truck. Is there any particular things that need to be done or will need to be done again when I pull the truck out of storage? Any help is appreciated.
If yuo are using fuel blended with ethanol then you may have issues with it sitting that long.
A trickle charger on the battery would be ideal if you could swing it but certainly pull the batt cables so there is no idle or parasitic drain.
The oil will need to be changed from sitting that long as it can become acidic.
Obviously proper mixture or coolant should be done.
Put it on blocks if you can also

x2 what weed said.
if you cant have someone drive it, pull the battery totally
or
if someone can drive it but not very often, pull the IOD fuse and have them pop it back in everytime they take it for a ride.

I'll probably just pull the battery on it.
