about 3 years ago I bought a 2002 dodge ram 1500 quad cab used with 130,000 miles now I have 165,000 and today I noticed that when the truck is in park there is a ticking noise- almost sounds like an exhaust leak, but it goes away when revved up and is not present in any other gear. I checked trans fluid and looks good. The fluid and filter was replaced before I bought the truck. Any ideas on what the tick could be????

 

My 2002 does this as well. It has done it since I bought it, figured it was just one of the noises my particular truck made.
