Default 3 Inch Body Lift Hard to instal?

Soo I have been putting a lot of though into getting a 3" Body Lift. I know I want one, but I just don't know if it will be worth the money.

I guess my concern is if I would be able to install it correctly with the help of my dad and brother. All of us are very good with vehicles and we have restored cars and so on. Of course I don't want to have us do a poor job and run into problems later on with the body lift. Would most of it be just jacking up and bolting on the blocks or would it take quite a bit of "custom work". Grinding, Welding, etc. That is the stuff that scares me a little

How much would it cost to have it professionally installed? Any idea? 300-500?

EDIT: Oops spelled install wrong in the title hehe

I installed a body lift with my buddy when we were 16 or so; all it consists of is placing blocks where the body bolts onto the frame. Between the two of us, it took a few hours, ofcourse we didnt have much experience in automotive repair at 16 either. The kit should include everything you need and hopefully will mention what needs to be grinded down, if anything at all. Otherwise, just give the manufacturer a call.

I did mine some time back and has never done one before. But for me, I had no help so i did everything all by myself. With that being said, I had no issues. Performance Accessories instructions were on point and good to the end.

hey bud check out the red truck in my pics. it has the 3 in body lift installed. it does take about a days work but the majority is unbolting all the body mount bolts and the bumpers. (also took me longer b/c my truck was a standard and we had to get a really good weld on the shifter and get it all angled just right). You will need to cut off a section of the frame in the front where ur bumper attatches to make it fit right with the new mounts but it is pretty easy to do. you will also cut a small part of the bumper bracket the is attached to the bumper. be sure to have at least 2 good floor jacks on hand and just try not to get frustrated. its really a pretty simple job. def worth the time and money imo. im already thinkin bout doin it to my new truck.
also youtube it. I found a pretty good one where a guy runs through it all for ya on an 04 dodge ram. helped to clear up a few questions i had.
