Default Drilled Rotors

I have had drilled rotors for years and they started to get grooves in them so I got them cut and now the groves have come back in a real short time. Is this normal for drilled rotors.

which rotors are you using? which pads? I've been using Hawk LTS with powerstop slotted and getting good results and normal wear.

You probably have ceramic pads. Those are quiet and have low dust but they are harsh on your rotors. Hawk makes some Kevlar and other typer of pads that stop better than ceramic, but are easier on your rotors and are just as quiet and little dust. They are pricey, but well worth it IMO.

Slotted rotors are better. They don't crack like drilled ones do.

Rotors were cut 2 months ago and can't cut anymore and had semi metallic pads. I tossed the rotors and pads and got new flat surface rotors and Wagner Thermoquiet ceramic pads with the rear calipers being 2 months old and originals on the front. I replaced all sliders and boots including new caliper bolts. They stop great no noise now and it's been a week since I have did them. I looked at rotors today and noticed what looks like light lines going around the circumference of rotor on three wheels and I am afraid it is going to happen again. Any ideas what could be causing this.
