Default trailer brake/signal light output dead on truck

After usage of a friend's trailer with faulty wiring the LH side signal/brake light feed out of my 2006 2500 Diesel RAM is dead.
I checked extensively leads and fuses as far as applicable, but was not able to fix the problem.
Now I read some posts that were referring to a TPIM problem, but have not fully understood if this is supposed to clear itself after a while if the error is no longer present or if it has tripped something that needs to be reset with special Dodge tools/computers, or if I have to flash/upgrade the unit to achieve longer lasting, fault free results.
There are no warning lights on in the dash, I have not used that trailer again, nevertheless that issue needs fixing because any trailer I hook up does not have any left signal or brake, and that is a safety risk I do not want to take.
What is the cheapest approach for such problem, provided I have good electrical and mechanical skills and access to regular tools, but do lack specialty tools that may come to play. What can be tested with regular tools?
Any input is appreciated!
R.D.

Lets start with the easy stuff before when get into the electrical diagrams. Are you using the 4 pin trailer plug or the 7 pin?

Check fuses 12, 15, 19 and 26.

My truck is equipped with the round 7 prong connector, which I primarily use for my trailers. In the case that I used my friend's trailer I had to use the optional 4 prong that is tied into the harness behind the bumper.

Check the plug on the back side of the 7 way (behind the bumper). I had the same problem and found it was not fully seated and "clicked" in.

Thanks for the pointer, but as I already wrote initially, I did extensively check the 7-prong plug, the harness behind the bumper about 2 foot into the frame, fuses in the box under the hood etc. etc.; that lead is not getting signal from the front!

If the flat 4 works the 7 way should as its spliced at S331 from the 4 way. So you need to find that splice and check from there to the 7 way. Did you test at the back of the 7way plug PIN #10 ?

pull the fuse and check if you are getting power there, that will tell you if its in the wiring or not

Thanks for the time to attend my inquiry and your suggestions!
Which fuse do you suggest to pull, is there any other than what I am finding in the large fuse box under the hood?
I have checked ALL fuses in that terminal. I can report that all of them are intact, save for the special fuses with the clear plastic cover on top that I wasn't able to check.
Can you give me a pointer which fuse to double check in particular? To my knowledge there is no fuse on my 2500 Diesel RAM that is labeled for either side brake/signal trailer light.

I know you said something about the TSB in the op but Have a look again at this TSB

"DTC'c B178C, B166C and P2215 indicate that short circuits exist in the wiring on
the trailer. The fault is set when the TIPM has seen loads on the circuit greater than
15 amps. TIPM retries the output on each ignition cycle or request (brake or turn
signal activation) to attempt to enable the output in case of an intermittent faulted
condition. The short circuits are usually intermittent and will require diagnosis and
repair. If Present, the B2215 fault code indicates that the TIPM has seen the faulted
condition >250 times and has turned off the output to protect the system. TIPM
trigger points for the trailer tow outputs has been increased from 15 amps to 17.5
amps, and the fault reporting strategy has been changed to be less susceptible to
trailer wiring problems. With this service flash, the TIPM will no longer permanently
deactivate the trailer tow outputs and the B2215 DTC will no longer be set.
- Each of these DTC's, including B2215 - Internal Fault, can be cleared from the
TIPM module memory but this can only be done a maximum of 5 times. The TIPM
module will be rendered inoperative on the sixth attempt and must be replaced.
- DCT B2215 - Internal Fault does not mean that the TIPM module is defective."
If you have no power at output (with turn signal or Brake on ) at pins 18 & 19 of the TIPM I would think the above is your problem.

12 = Elect Brake Controler Power 30A

19 = Backup Lamp 30A
26 = Stop Lamp 15A (this is not going to the 7 way)

You are correct there are no fues for the trailer tow turn signals/Stop Lamps on 06+ Rams
