Default Stock Tranny Temp Sensor

Does anyone know where the stock tranny temp sensor is located? I just got the Diablo Trinity and it is supposed to show the tranny temp, but it just shows -40* all the time. I am thinking the stock sensor might be bad, but I am not sure? I would like to test it if possible. Thanks

For proper diagnosis of the transmission temperature sensor, the PCM, the CAN data bus, or the electronic message inputs to the instrument cluster that control the transmission over-temperature indicator, a diagnostic scan tool is required. Refer to the appropriate diagnostic information.

I was getting this from my 06 Srvc Man pdf but it keeps crashing so i will have to try to find more later.

the PCM/TCM pulls the temp info from the solenoid pack located above the valve body.

The transmission temperature sensor is a thermistor that is integral to the Transmission Range Sensor (TRS).

Thanks for the replies guys. I am not sure where to start here. Is there an easy way to tell if its my truck or the Trinity that is not working correctly. Is the solenoid pack easy to get to? Sorry for all the questions. Thanks again.

^^^^ So true.

did MikeL or MikeM on Diablo even get back to you? Whenever I post a thread it was like getting teeth pulled to get one of them to answer my threads. I usually had to call them and even then I didnt get the answers i was looking for.

No answer from Diablo....they are really slow. May have to call. So if my sensor is bad....how can I get it covered under my warranty? How can I prove that it is not working? I still find it hard to believe that the sensor would be bad, what are the odds of that? Really the only Pid I want to monitor!
