5.7L Hemi? 3" in/out Straight shot will do or even amild offset. it'll need to be welded anyways so it can beangled a little bit. lots o room under there.

Yeah I had a 3" on mine when i had a Flowmaster. But keep your options open and review some exhaust threads and see what everyone likes, especially with you living up north with ice/salt/sand.

Cool guys thanks for the help.. After reading stuff on the forum I think I'm gonna go with a flowmaster series 40 or 50 in the offroad series, it looks like it will hold up ok here in Colorado. Should I get an offset inlet/straight outlet or just run a straight in and out?

It wont matter as there is room to do either. Are you sure you do not want a Magnaflow?

im open to whatever... flowmaster or magnaflow.. like I said im coming from the diesel side of the world, this is my first gasser... magnaflow a better muffler to go with if im only replacing the stock muffler..

This is the setup I was thinking of going with. K&N intake, superchips flashpaq, flowmaster muffler for now... just something to give the truck a little more hp.. Im open to other items on a setup too..

Magnaflow gets more love here on DF and for several reasons that may or may not be important to you.

1. Mag's are less restrictive (in general) VS Flow's
2. Mag's have a deeper, less raspy tone than Flows, but this is all subjective and obviously depends on the model of Mag and Flow being compared.
3. Mags are better known for durability due to the stainless steel construction. Flow has also introduced their SS versions, but the ol' Aluminized versions are more often than not referred to as Rustmasters.

It really just comes down to preference so pick what you like.
