Strange Front End noise
Hey guys, I hate to be "that guy" who tries to get a diagnosis by describing a sound the vehicle makes, but i'm a little perplexed as to what's going on with my truck, and I'm hoping you guys can help me out. Right after a long (350 mile) trip, I noticed that the front end (I believe its the front drivers side, could be wrong though) is making a sound, almost like a rubbing sound, but its not constant, its like a pulsing sound, that increases in frequency and level as I speed up (obviously), almost like I'm driving over lots of small expansion joints in the road, but it happens on perfectly smooth roads, so i've ruled out simple road noise. The truck only has 25k on it, so i'm a little confused as to what it could be. It gets much louder as I turn a corner at 30 MPH+ (such as a highway curved exit ramp) It also seems to get louder with temperature. When its 100 degrees, its loud, but tonight it was 83 and it didn't seem as loud. There's no strange behavior when I brake, and it doesn't hug one side of the road or the other. So I've narrowed it down to 3 possible sources:
1: Front hub. This was my first instinct, but if it was the Hub, why would it get louder as I turned a corner? Just doesn't make sense.
2: CV Shafts. Would make sense as to why it gets louder as I turn a corner.
3: Tires. Could something have happened to that particular tire at some point during my 350 mile straight interstate drive to make it imbalanced or something of the sort that would cause these issues?
I hope this is enough information to help you guys out, maybe someone else has had a similar issue and can help me out. Thanks!

Thanks for the suggestion Brettj2408. I jacked up the right side, and started fiddling with the wheel, nothing. Solid as a rock. Turned it a couple times at a high rate, didn't hear any noise. Jacked up the left (passenger) side, again, solid as a rock. Turned it, viola! I could hear the pulsing sound, so I jacked it down, turned the wheels to full lock, jacked it back up and didn't see any physical damage to the cv boots or the shaft. So i'm left to the conclusion its the CV Shaft, which i had to replace the drivers side already (boot came off, most likely not manufacturer issue, it was a rebuilt truck) and the part was $50 but it took me a while to fix it in a fully stocked shop, but now I'm away from home and have to have other people work on my truck, what do you think it would cost for a shaft replacement from a local "ma and pa" type repair shop (no dealer for me)?
Keep me updated! I have the same problem but the dealership told me it was cupped tires...mine only happens when I turn right, not when I'm driving straight. It also gets worse with higher temperatures...
@08arhemi sounds similar yet different, your issue may be tires since it only does it when turning one way and not straight, mine does it all the time no matter which way I turn or what surface i'm on, and the tires expand with heat/cold, and the temperature thing may just be me being paranoid and it just seems louder when its hot.

Its not obnoxiously loud. After you asked, I did a run tonight and with the radio on and the AC on speed 1 or 2, its hard to hear it, except when i turn (even a lane change) than it gets significantly louder for that period of time. I can feel it in my steering wheel and pedal as well. Just do what I did. Use the jack and jack up one wheel at a time, turn the wheel pretty fast and see if you can hear it. It worked for me. You still have warranty? Lucky! I only have 25k on my truck but it has a salvage title=no warranty. I'd say milk the warranty and see if you can get a CV Shaft replaced and report back. I'm about 88% sure its the shaft at this point.
