Talking Half Shaft

Does anybody ever replaced a half shaft? If Yes please give me some advise. I will replace mines soon. Is it easy to do? How much time?

easy to do...just give it a good tug or use a pry bar to pop it off the diff out put shaft

When I put the shaft back in do I need to take any "special" steps?

not really just make sure the axle is seated over the snap ring on the output shaft and i've always used loctite on the axle nut

It took me about 6 hours to do mine. The shaft was basically melted onto the spline. Ended up having to grind it down the middle and torch the rest off. Used lots a force with a pry bar. I wish u the best of luck. How many miles are on the truck? I had a 160,000 and the boot busted so I had to bust down and change it. I hope yours comes out like the rest say they do, "Just Pull Out"
