Weight Dist Hitch/Sway Control necessary on 1500 Mega Cab 26ft trailer?
I'm getting a different trailer here soon and it's a little longer than my old one. 26ft trailer (28.8 overall length) about 7600# loaded.
Do you think I'm going to need anti-sway or weight distribution hitch on a 1500 Mega Cab? Might as well get it before I drive away from the dealer if I'm going to need it.

If you have the tow package and the class4 hitch then no.....however utilizing/using a WD hitch with a antisway bar will make your towing WAY!!!!!!!! better. IMO having towed anything and everything up to around 11K I always used a WD hitch. It made it seem like night and day. I would recommend using one just for that.

Gotcha on the advice. I guess I'll just throw that on as long as I'm in such a rampant-consumerism mood.
