Default Ball joints on Ram 2500 4x4

I read an article that was very informative on here by one of your members named Steve. It was a great article with lots of pictures showing step by step his replacement of the upper and lower ball joints on his truck. One of the things that he mentioned was that he went with a cheaper ball joint for the lower ones because they did not wear out as much as the uppers did. All the research I have done on these is that the lower ones wear out a lot quicker that the uppers do. The upper ball joints on these trucks only serve as a king pin and are not load bearing. The lower ball joints carry all the weight of the front end on them and are recommended to be replace about every 70,000 miles due to extreme wear with factory sealed units. I have found some great after market lower ball joints, but they all have 18 month or less warranty except for the Carli, they have a life time warranty on their lower ball joints and have been engineered to withstand the pressures that Dodge puts on them. I know they are outragously priced, but if you have had to do this before, you will be happy to spend the money to do it right the first time. I have 200,000 miles on my 03 dodge truck and I am getting ready to redo my ball joints for the second time. (just the lower ones this time) I know that I am going to fork out the money this time for the Carli's. Just wanted everyone to know. Thanks Eric
