Default Intake vs Panel Filters

Hello,

New to the forum - been reading for a few days and found some very helpful info. Just purchased an 07 QC SLT, Inferno Crystal Red w/ Hemi and 4x4. I'm loving it so far!!

Wondering what the differences are between a full-on CAI system with a conical/round filter, and something like the Airaid JR. system that only replaces the intake tube and panel filter? I think I read somewhere that the round/cone filters have more surface are so they can take-in more air? I have had several intakes on several other vehicles before and I have always loved them. I'm just wondering if it's worth the $200-$300 for the full-on system, or if I should just spend around $100 and get the Tube/Panel setup???

Welcome

Not many guys have the 200-300 CAIs. Most guys have cheap ebay knock-offs or have made thier own. Do some thread searching in the FAQs and on the board and you will see many threads of those that have been made. Everyone seems to love them

Me personally, I would not spend no more than 40-50 on one.
