Default Need Mod Info Help....Please

I have an 05 ram 1500 5.7 with CAI, Headman Headers, Full Cat/back, Shift kit, and MSD ignition wires/ coil packs. The truck has 40k miles and I was wanting some experienced advice on A: what cam I should go with(have plenty of tourqe, wanting more mid-range) and B: does anyone have any advice on Porting and polishing stock heads, I know how its done but I just want to know if anyone has ever done this with success.
Thanks...

Cam choice is all personal preference. It's about how your truck will be driven and what kind of performance you looking to get. What gears you have will play a role as well.
I would highly reccomend against doing a home brew P&P. It's worth every penny to pay to have it done Professionally. CNC'd heads are all spec'd out and flow checked for consistency. No way you can repeat consistency doing it by hand or check the flow rates. You would likely hinder performance by doing them yourself.

There are lots and lots of threads on cam choices. But you also need to say if you have a 2wd or 4wd. Or if it is a QC or SC truck. How much cam do you really want? Are you going to want custom tuning (more costly) or just canned tuned?

I have a 2wd sc. I have looked at many threads on this I just want what's going to be right for my setup. I mean I know that I don't need any more torque mostly just mid range, but at the same time I don't wanna sacrifice torque. I want to stick with a cam that doesn't require a lot of tuning. More of a plug and play. thanks
