Default 2wd to 4wd ??

I know i'm bringing up a dead subject here, but could really use guidance here.

I've got an 03 1500 s/c, s/b, 2wd. I am wanting to remove the ifs all together and make it 4x4.

I'm no stranger to sfa conversions, just new to ram's.

I've read that the 1/2 ton 2wd and 4wd axles have th same bolt pattern and b/s. Is that right?

Just really need to know what transfer case I need to look for? I've got the 5 speed automatic trans.

Gonna do Coil and link front suspension with the stock rear leaf sprung setup. Thanks.

the best thing imo would be to go to a junk yard and get the drive tran from a used truck trans, transfer, front axel.

Agreed. Unless you just want bragging rights, go find a 03 3wd. They should be pretty cheap for 03-04. But if you are really into conversions and such, then there is nothing you need to know how to do except fabrication because thats essentially what you will be doing.
