Default No Fuel Filter???

Never owned a vehicle before that had no fuel filter. I was at the auto parts store buying everything to tune up another vehicle and decided to get a fuel filter for the pickup (2007 model 1500, 2wd, 5.7l Hemi) and was told there is not a fuel filter. A couple of questions:
1. Is this true, no fuel filter?
2. If so, can I add an inline filter or is the fuel pressure too sensitive for the
additional restriction of an after market in line filter?

Thanks,
Mac

The filter is built into the pump. You have to replace the whole pump.

And all vehicles have fuel filters. Anything that was ever fuel injected has filters at the pump and in the tank. Gone are the days of carbs and in-line fuel filters.

With that being said, Ive never seen a fuel filter go back so if you have any issues, now is the time to speak up.
