Default Silly little problem driving me nuts!

So ever since I bought my 2007 1500 4x4 QC this has been bugging me. When you use the remote to lock or unlock the doors there is no horn chirp... should be no big deal to fix right? Just look in the manual, find the procedure and fix it.... Well... not so.....

Manual says something along the lines of holding down the lock button for a few seconds then holding down the lock and the panic button at the same time and releasing them at the same time... I have done this probley a hundred times and it makes no difference.... Is there something else I am suppose to do? Something I am missing?

Mine beeps when I lock it but just flashes the lights twice when unlocking. I don't have my owners manual close to check the procedure. Sorry

The overhead console in my truck is where the options are to change the settings. Go into the menu and scroll through it to fine the option you are looking for.
