Default New tires! now gears and fitment...

So i got my new tires mounted on my rims today and might I say they look awesome! But lets get down to buisness,..I was going to get the truck alined and put the tires on and they said the would not fit (have and 08 1500 4x4 with 2.5'' level) tires are 35x12.5x20 Nitto Mud Grapplers... So why did they say they wouldnt fit? Ive read on here that people run those..and some use spacers so it doesnt rub on full turn so I guess I need spacers so which ones should I get and where at? btw I want the smallest ones possible because I hate the look of half the tire sticking out of the wheel well...so now I need (well want) fender flares too$$ Alright last question can I run these tires with 3.55 gears for a month until my gears and DTT get in and installed?

That is a sharp looking garbage can!

I just remembered.....I have 2 extra 1/4" spacers. If you want to buy them send me a PM. I was going to put them on all 4 wheels, but just did the fronts and it looks good so I have no need for the other two.

im not sure about the rims you have compared to mine, but i have a 2" level on the front no even close to being maxed out and i fit 315/70's on mine with absolutely no issues.

You have a torsion bar front, a good bit more clearance than a coil over front...

Well thanks for the input and I can not wait to get the tires and rims put on...Ive must of rolled them up to the truck 10 times already! I need to post a picture of my truck leveled it looks great...IMO but I have another small question i would like to lift the back up an inch and a half for towing my Little army tank (hints the screen name)/(look it up on youtube) but that will mean I will have to get another alignment right? And I want to go with shackles...so what EXACTLY should i look for and what would be a good price? thanks again

For lifting the rear with shackles you do not need an alignment. You only need that for the front. But you can get 3rd Gen lift shackles off of ebay for about $50 or use 2nd Gen stock shackles (but IDK prices on those)
