Default Please help asap!!!!!!!!!

Ok guys my dad owns a 2007 dodge ram 1500 with the hemi. today on his way home the truck bogged down and from there on out wont let him do more then 40 miles an hour running about 1800 rpms and he could step on the throttle and it would go no faster. He also said when leaving from a stop it would act like it wanted to bog down. Well this evening when i got home and he told me about it i went to drive it and it wouldnt start. and its like it has a dead battery and clicks and attempts to turn the crank shaft and wont start it. We recently had an EGR valave replaced im doubtful this has anything to do with it but thought i would put it out there. Im thinking it may be something computer related but not sure anyone have any ideas?

Thanx in advance

If it isn't cranking but just clicking, the battery has a problem. Not necessarily the cause of your other troubles, but it's an issue. How are the headlights? Bright or dim? Battery cables tight? Put a charger on it and see if you can get it charged up enough to start.

Could be a failed battery, or a problem with the charging system.

Can't really diagnose the other issues without being able to start and drive the truck.

The reason I mention the headlights is that they're a big current draw, much more than the dome light or the flashers. Not quite as much as the starter, but you're likely to see a weak battery show itself in dimmer headlights.

sounds like your trans is in limp mode. 2nd gear from a stop and 2nd gear only.
