Default Getting the HO cam...just one catch

I'm going to switch out and upgrade to the 4.7l HO cam the only place I've been able to find it though is at moes:

Just one problem, it comes in a set of 2 and the 4.7 being a SOHC I don't need two so does anyone know where I can get just a single cam?

Not sure if you're kidding? You need one for each head on SOHC, DOHC would mean you would need 4 cams.

You need 2 cams. There is one under each valve cover.

I can't believe I just did that. You have no idea how long I have been trying to figure out why what I was saying wasn't making sense but I just couldn't figure it out...wow don't know what is wrong with me today. Disregard this lol.

You could just do one, I guess.

SOHC = One cam per head
DOHC = Two cams per head.

You need two.

lxman - I think he got it figured out already, but I'm sure he appreciates an extra stomp to the grapes.

yes you could do just one side. the 4.7 take separate fuel and what not readings for each side of the motor. But I doubt that you would see the full potential with only one side done lol Happens to the best of us.

Just a pre-order caution if you are going to order from Moe's. Call and speak with them first. Many orders from them, including mine, have been delayed. This is becuase they are not processing them very fast. I have heard that both Bob (owner of Moe's) and Shelby have issues they are dealing with in their personal lives, but it is effecting the business. My last order took 3 weeks from the time it was submitted by me to the time they processed it. I think it still would be waiting if I had not sent numerous emails, PMs on DT, threads on DT, phone calls, and opening a claim through paypal too get processed. I have read many stories that are the same as mine from people on DT, some are still waiting on orders from July, and have not been able to get any status update from Moe's
