You can always put a bonds with a v6 behind it and push it so you can go faster. Other than that i also wouldn't do anything else to try to make a 3.7 v6 in a heavy 1500 try to go faster

v6 vs. Hemi: Is like trying to pick up a 100 pound weight with one finger compared to picking it up with both hands.

Leave it be. When I was 16 I had a chevy s10 with a 4banger. Yep it sucked.

Save your money. Wish I would of listened when everyone told me to save :/

I think you will see the biggest gains w/ a tuner and some custom cams. Hemifever should be able to tune your truck, he did my 04 3.7 and you can talk to Dan aka thefastman about cams. I'm planning on putting new cams in mine once I get the tools and the money.

I still think it is a waste of time and money. Its just my opinion but if you want to hop up a six cylinder then buy an import where you can actually get some real and noticeable power

Instead of trying to be cool and drive fast just slow it down and keep it 5 mph slower than the speed limit, spend your time on making the thing look slick. Duplicolor, color sanding, and buffing make any car look unique. Who cares if it isn't fast. No matter how fast you make it, someone else will have something bigger and better. Drive slow man

Mexico makes a good point. Once you get a degree, it is yours. Period. a 2-year degree is worth another $24K per year. Yes, $2K per month more!! Think about that.
You can do some small things like replace the Ypipe, get a free flowing muffler (Magnaflow or Flowmaster race, or AeroTurbine), and replace the airhat in front of the throttle valve with a "home brew" sewer pipe intake. But that will only get you about 5 mph on top. Drag is your enemy, especially on top end. You could make a cheap tonneau cover from a sheet of plywood, paint it with some oil based paint to protect it, and mount it in the bed level with the bed rails. A power wire might give you a little more also, but nothing is going to give you what you really want without some serious expense.
