Default Labor Cost for Body Lift $$!

Anybody know roughly what a shop charges for body lift install? My local shop tried to sell me a "3'in. suspension lift. which was $2K plus... which i figure with the "PA" body lift kit at about $300 or less.. the body lift is still the way to go,, hmmmmmm.

Install is about 6-8 hours. At a normal shop rate of 80/hour, I'd say about 500 or 600. Also gap guards are something you should look into, so about another 80 bucks.

Why not install it yourself? I had never done a suspension lift or a body lift before but i did my own.

Just a thought on a way to save a ton of money

Docs with the PA kit are VERY good. Have done three of 'em before doing my current suspension lift.
Not a very hard job, just time consuming.

Local shops in my area are around $600 for a body lift install, except 4 Wheel Parts who runs around a grand...

after doing it by myself during my days off, I would now say that if you had the extra $600 it might would be worth it...if you are wanting to learn how and have a few buddies to help its a cool job but its kinda tedious if you dont really have about two strait days off

Look man, I had never done a lift before in my life. But when it came down to doing mine I had no one there to help but me. As Hammer said, the directions in PA's kits are very good. I followed them and had no issues. Some things I could skip because I could see there were not needed so it saved time.
