that red and black wire you speak of? You might already know this but the black is the common, red is the 12V
Personally I would just take the black right to the frame of the truck. If there are other ground locations nearby I would go out of the way to get it to there, just eliminates tonnes of grounds everywhere.

Where did you tie the red into exactly? You mentioned that you tied it into in the headlight harness? So if the halo lights up or not depends on where you spliced them in, because I know that one side is for the low beams and the other side is the highs of course. Try turning your high beams on and see if they light...if they do then you would have to bring it to another 12V source. Personally I would just run it right off of a fuse from the fuse box. You don't want to tie it into either side (if you were thinking that) I would not want to take the risk of it being INSTANT 12V off on one side then INSTANT 12 on the other. You might risk blowing up some bulbs. You could take 2 meters to it and see, but i would not take the chance. There are lots of sources in the fuse box, I would go there....

As said, to test the halos, take the red and go directly to the (+) on the battery and take the black and go to ground or (-) on the battery. The chances of both sets of halos NOT working is slim. Sounds like you just got them wired wrong.

As for updating the DSP, they tell you on the site it doesnt come with cables and give you the option of buying them. So it is good you seen that and bought one. It sucks they didnt send it. Glass3222 is right on the money. That cable RS has is the one you need and is about $30 bux. I would get Diablo to cancel the shipment of that one and just buy one locally

yeah thts a good idea about testing them and i will see if we have one here at the local walmart but...i live 60 miles from the nearst city so thats a problem haha

also shouldnt there be a red and black for the halos and a red and black for the leds?.......there are two other red and blacks but they go into a battery pack thing and go rite through it and back into the headlights? maybe that is an adapter so you only need one red and one black for both the leds and halos

let me know if you need more help with yours. It took me some time to figure how they had wired them. I know you see 4 total wire to black box and only 2 coming out the headlight so you would think that connector is for the LEDs or halos, but its not. Leave that connector undone and hook up the black to ground and the red to your positive wire on the running lights. Also im talking about the red and black wires coming out the back of the headlight. If you do that then when you turn your running lights on you get your halos and the LEDs on.
