Simple question guys. I was stopped...making a right turn. Traffic coming on strong, so floored it to get out there. The whole rear end bounced around (felt like wheel hop from like a newer GTO, that i have driven) Do you think any damage was done? Felt kinda violent. Did get out in a hurry tho hehehe
Truck is an 07 1500 Hemi, W/3.92's tow package and LSD

Nope. It's just as you say, kinda violent. Repetative encounters may cause components to wear down, but for the most part, it does nothing other than cause humiliation.

I pulled out of Advance Auto one day in a hurry. Pulled out right in front of traffic that was going way too fast for a 30mph zone. I jammed on it when I seen the cars bareling arounf the corner. My rear pass tire caught the curb as i turned right and when I jammed on the gas, the back didn't stop hopping until i let off at 35mph. It was brutal. Didn't even think twice to bother getting out to look nor did I even look when I got home.
We have a solid axle leaf sprung bounc-o-matic and once it gets going, that's it. Now, since there's no weight back there and lots of engine power, most of the time the tires will just light up smoothly when going straight. On a turn, diff story.
