AC quit...tipm issue'?
Ah the good ole TIPM. Not the brightest idea Chrysler had. I havent heard of anyone going around that $900+ bill. It will need to be programmed after the new one is installed. And i'm not sure a used from another ram would work either. I've read that the clutch coil on your compressor has an embedded diode that is known to fail but usually fails in conjuction with the tipm. I'm sorry i wasnt much help but i hope some one will chime in and help you out. You may get more help if you post this in the cummins section.
06's are pricey. $700 or so. Delar must program new one for it to work. Another $150 with installation. Not something you can do yourself trust me. I have to go to the dealer tomorrow to get mine done. $650 after all said and done and most of all it pains me to know I can't do it myself to even save $5.
Lots of '06s had the trailer directional problems so make sure the new one has the firmware update to the upgraded version. It has higher load tolerences before going bad.
