Default Spark plug damage

Hey guys first post here.A good friend of mine asked me to check out his ram,03 1500 w/hemi 90k on it in good condition.Problem is he said it started running real bad & then he could not keep it running.Upon inspection, while cranking it over you can hear a low cylinder,so i thought right away valve spring, pulled both v/covers & all valve train is good.Pulled spark plugs out & both plugs from cyl.#3 are damaged electrodes slammed shut.Havent done a comp. test yet, just wondering what couls have happened any ideas out there thanks michael.

Does he race it? Possible that a piston slapped the spark plugs which can be caused by an overrevv, does he have a programmer of any kind on it?
