Default Any Recommendations or photos???

I own a 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 SXT 4-door 4x4 that I bought new in early '09. The truck came with 295/70/17 all terrains on 17x8 steel wheels. I need new tires and have been contemplating leveling it; however, I don't really want to buy new wheels if I don't have to but from what I've read, the tire size I have now is the largest I can go with my current set of wheels.

Has anyone leveled their truck and kept the stock 17's with the size tire I currently have, or a comparable size? I don't want to buy new 290/70/17 tires, level the truck out, and not like the way it looks. Any pictures or personal recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

I have the same truck you do, except 2WD....I have it leveled (2") with 17x9 rims and 295/70-17 Nitto Terra Grapplers.

With a 2 inch level. Nitto Trail Grappler 295/17/70 on 17x9 V-Tech Raptors. Before I had 295/70/17 Terra Grapplers like 08 has on stock aluminum 17x8 rims.

08 ram, i also gotta admit that is one mean looking truck from the front! Did your bumpers come stock like that? I am in the process of getting my front bumper painted black to match the rear bumpers.

I painted my bumpers black to get rid of the chrome. Mark, your truck looks great, too. Really nice......

On the rear I had a chrome bumper but found out underneath the step plastic it was rotting out, so i found a good condition bumper with black step pad for 150 dollars and got that powdercoated "stealth black." To my knowledge the front bumper is in good shape as far as chrome goes. Did you paint over chrome? Powdercoat? Its been a long process on this truck and has been making me dig deeper into my pockets haha. Next is painting tailgate and get rid of chrome on front bumpers.
