so if your truck is off, its hard to turn the wheels obviously, but does it get any easier when you start the truck? I dont know how to differentiate the pump and Rack/Pinion

Bad thing is, the rack is a bitch to take off...ive had to it and it took me FOREVER because the bolts are goofy
