i am looking at a used truck an 04 1500 4x4 rcsb with a lift (not sure on how much.) It also has 35's but they a really wide not sure how much thought. My question is how hard if it to turn the wheel of ur truck? i cant turn the wheel on this one if it is sitting there or from a dead stop. Is this normal with big tires or could there be something wrong. Also is there anything inparticular is need to look for?
it's either the pump or the rack... check to see if there is any powersteering fluid in it (it may have all leaked out). The pumps on these trucks are pretty robust, it's usually the rack that causes problems.

Check the obvious first, see if there is power steering fluid in the thing... Of course if there isn't, it doesn't bode well for the regular maintenance by the owner, so I'd prolly walk from that one...
You should be able to turn the wheels at a dead stop even with 35's. Something is going bad and not working properly. Either the rack or the pump as stated before.
Yeah Ive got heavy 24" rims and 36" tires and can turn mine no issues at a dead stop. You have something else going on and as said earlier, I would look at the PS pump or R&P.
