Default Wheel size?

OK guys I'm thinking of going from my factory 20's to a smaller rim to save money on tires. Will a dodge factory 16" wheel fit my 2004 2wd Ram or is 17" the smallest I can run on it?

17" is the smallest that will clear the calipers without modification...

hammer, what type of mods are we talking? is it even worth it to save a few on the tires? and on that note, what are some cheap m/t's that would fit the stock 20's. don't do much offroading in my 2wd so its for looks and maybe the occasional mud puddle on the way to the hunting land

there are no m/t's in 20's that are cheap, even with 17's they are gonna be pricey, better off with an a/t, much cheaper in 17
