Air filter part numbers, comparison w/ question
Sorry if this is redundant, but I searched and didn't find what I was looking for, nor have I ever seen anyone mention that the Spectre filters are "Disposable" filters....
I am going to break down and do the DIY CAI this week and was deciding on which filter to use. K&N vs. Spectre, since both are available locally. Have you guys ever noticed that the Spectre filters are classified as "Disposable" filters and not reusable like the K&N's?
I think I'll go with the K&N even though they cost a bit more. The RE 0920 looks like a decent size and is priced at $49. Are there any other model numbers that you guys have used that work well with the Hemi?

I was going by this description from Advance Auto's website.

Spectre High Flow Air Filters are made from high-grade cotton fiber for increased airflow and filtration. These disposable filters are pre-oiled for convenient installation.
Well they're both disposable, I mean they won't last forever. Both of them are cotton gauze, not really sure how many layers each one uses, but each time you wash it you wash away some of the media. Go w/ a filter made w/ synthetic media like the AEM dryflow, filters great, easy to clean, no re-oiling.
